Science center NEMO is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 to 17.00 hrs.
During the official school holidays, Easter Monday (April 13) and Whit Monday (June 1) and in June, July and August, NEMO is also open on Monday.

NEMO’s roof
NEMO’s roof can be visited free of charge from Tuesday to Sunday between 10.00 and 17.00 hrs.

The exceptions to these free opening times are:

• In the summer months July and August NEMO transforms its roof to the biggest and sunniest roof terrace of The Netherlands. Under the name BovenNEMO (aboveNEMO) you can enjoy from June 27 until September 6 from 12.00-19.30 hrs the view over Amsterdam. Entrance to BovenNEMO is free of charge
• The roof is not open during the short school holidays. At these times, it is open exclusively for NEMO visitors.
• For safety reasons, NEMO can decide to keep the roof closed in certain weather conditions.
• During special events in and round NEMO, the roof may not be freely accessible.

In the centre of Amsterdam stands one of the most modern architectural highpoints of the city. In the green building of the Italian architect Renzo Piano you find Science Center NEMO with five floors full of things to do and discover in the field of science and technology. The range is intended and suitable for visitors of all ages. Everything can be touched and tried out in the interactive exhibitions. Come to NEMO and tear through the universe on a space bike. Put on the chemist's lab coat and carry out experiments in the Wonder Lab. And if you want to have a break, enjoy a drink and a snack in one of NEMO's cafes or admire a spectacular view across Amsterdam from the roof terrace.
